Following the tremendous success of last year’s tournament at Lakes Resort we invite you to enter a team of three amateur players into the 2012
Legends Charity Pro-Am. To be played February 26, 27& 28th
We can confirm that over 40 leading professionals on the Legends Tour, the house hold names of Australasian professional golf will take part, some of the players taking part in the New Zealand events in 2012 are former, Former Australian and NZ Open winners Rodger Davis, Peter Fowler, Sir Bob Charles, Simon Owen, Bob Shearer, past PGA Champions Brian Jones, Stuart Reese, Mike Harwood, David Good just to name a few.
Last years winner David Hill will be back from the USA to defend his title.
The Pro-Am is an invitation teams event, each team will comprise of 3 invited amateurs. The amateur teams will be joined by 2 professionals for each round.
The teams competition will be played over 3 rounds and the format will be a best ball stroke, with the two best scores on each hole counting.
The pro’s scores can count at any time. The main prize will be for the net competition, there will also be a gross event.
The pro’s will be playing for a minimum of $30,000 in prize money and amateurs $8,000 in prizes.
Everything is included, golf, carts, accommodation, food, drinks, great prizes, gift pack, entertainment, Calcutta and Charity auction.
The Charity, proceeds from this event will be distributed locally to the Hikuai Primary School which is a country school with only 95 students and always in need of funding.

The field will be limited to the first 18 confirmed teams.
We look forward to you joining us and playing with the Legends of the game on one of New Zealand’s best test of golf for what will be a GREAT competition and real fun event.

Sunday 26th February
Pro-Am competitors arrive and check into luxury villa accommodation at Lakes Resort
11.00 am - 12.30pm Lunch and tournament registration,
1.00 pm: Round one Legends Charity Pro-Am, 2 professionals and 3 amateurs in each group
7.00 pm “Calcutta “dinner at Lakes Resort Club House.
Monday 27th February
8.00 am Breakfast at Lakes Resort
10.00 am Round two of Legends Charity Pro-Am, 2
professionals and 3 amateurs in each group.
2.00 pm Lunch
6.00 pm: Cocktail Party & Charity Dinner, “Auction of Leading Pro’s”
Tuesday 28th February.
7.30 am Breakfast at Lakes Resort.
9.00 am Final round of the LegendsCharity Pro-Am, 2 professionals and 3 amateurs in each group.
2.00 pm: BBQ lunch and prize presentation at Lakes Resort.
