After the resounding success of 2011 tournament we are pleased to confirm the dates for the 2012 event The Starwood Golf Classic is an International Pro-Am & Teams tournament, offering over $130,000 in prize money and prizes. The event will be played over four rounds of golf .Two rounds at the South Pacific's # 1 championship golf course Natadola Bay and two rounds at the challenging resort course at Denarau Golf & Racquet Club.

The tournaments major sponsor is Starwood. Starwood is the owner /operator of the Sheraton Fiji Resort, Westin Fiji Resort & Spa, Sheraton Denarau Villa's and Denarau Golf & Racquet Club. The tournament has an individual competition for amateurs and professionals, but the emphases are on the team's net and gross events. Each team will be made up of one professional and three amateurs. The tournament offers over $130,000 in professional prize money and amateur prizes. All players will stay at the 5 Star Sheraton Fiji Resort or Westin Fiji Resort & Spa on Denarau Island. This is great opportunity for you to make up a team with your local pro, or we will put you into a team if you choose to enter individually. The event offers great value for money and will be biggest ever pro-am tournament held in Fiji.

UNIQUE TOURNAMENT

There are a number of competitions within the tournament. There will be Individual amateur and professional section; however the main competition will be the team's events. Each team will be made up with one professional and three amateurs. The event is open to men and women professionals and amateurs. Your team will play together for all 4 rounds. The Teams net competitin is, the 2 best net scores on each hole counting. The Team's gross competition is the 2 best gross scores counting on each hole. The professional's scores can count at any time. Many club professionals have official handicaps and they will be entitled to use there handicaps in the net competition. There will also be an individual, daily and overall Stableford competition for all amateurs.

PRIZES & PROZE MONEY

There will be exceptional prize money and prizes on offer. Over $130,000 The winning Teams in both the net and gross competition will receive a full free entry package including accommodation to come back and defend there titles in the 2013 event. The professionals will be playing for a minimum of $100,000 in prize money. $60,000 in the individual section, plus $20,000 in the team's net event and $20,000 in the teams gross. The amateur team members will in fact be helping their professional win prize money in the team's events. Apart from the major overall prizes there will be daily prizes. No one will leave empty handed as all players will receive a tournament gift pack valued at over $150

THE GOLF COURSES

The tournament will be contested over four rounds, and all players will play two rounds at each course.

Natadola Bay Golf Course, Is 40 minutes drive from Denarau Island towards the Coral Coast, this fantastic VJ Singh inspired championship course is without doubt the best course in the South Pacific.

The Denarau Golf Course. Is on the door step of the Sheraton Fiji Resort and Westin Resort & Spa. The challenging resort layout has hosted many international tournaments; water comes into play on many holes and is a good test for players of all calibers.

THE HOTELS

Denarau Island is 20 minutes drive from Nadi International Airport; Denarau Island has 8 international hotels, championship golf course and Marine Village with numerous restaurants and shops Accommodation for all the players will be at the Sheraton Fiji Resort or Westin Resort & Spa. Both are 5 star luxury beach front hotels and only 100 meters from the Denarau Golf Course.

TOURNAMENT HQ

Tournament headquarters will be at the brand new Bar & Restaurant area at Denarau Golf & Racquet Club. This will be the venue for the Opening Cocktail Party and also the area where the Starwood tournament bar will be set up... During the tournament evening drinks will be served in the tournament bar for all players and partners from 6.30pm for one hour, the event score board will also be sited in this area.

THE GRAND FINALE

"Beach Party" The final night Gala Banquet prize presentation will be a night to remember; apart from all the prizes being handed out you will enjoy great food and beverage, fabulous entertainment all to take place on the beach at Sandy Point.

WHO CAN PLAY

The tournament is open to teams consisting of one professional and three amateur golfers. The event is open to women and men professionals and amateurs All amateurs must hold an official golf handicap. Handicap limits are Women 32 Men 27.NB. If you don't have a full team the organizers will make up teams from people entering individually.

Entries are limited to the first 40 overseas paid teams Entry forms are available on the Pacific Golf Management web site. Entries will only be accepted on the official entry form As a condition of entry all players must buy the event tournament package.

Brief Event Program

Tuesday 12th
Players arrive at Nadi International Airport Fiji and transfer to the five star Sheraton Fiji Resort or Westin Resort & Spa on Denarau Island.
6.30pm – 8.00pm Welcome cocktail party and player registration at Denarau Golf & Racquet Club.

Wednesday 13th Round One Starwood Golf Classic
Half the players will play at Denarau Golf Course and the other half will transfer by coach and play at Natadola Bay.
Drinks and lunch will be available during play.
6.30pm-7.30pm Drinks at the Starwood Tournament Bar, at Denarau Clubhouse where the tournament score board will be sited.

Thursday 14th Round Two Starwood Golf Classic
The groups who played at Natadola yesterday will play at Denarau today
and visa versa.
Drinks and lunch will be available during the round.
6.30pm-8.00pm Drinks in the Starwood Tournament Bar, Sweepstakes on the final two rounds.

Friday 15th Round Three Starwood Golf Classic
Groups will once again swap courses
Drinks and lunch will be available during the round.
6.30pm-7.30pm Drinks at the Starwood Tournament Bar, at Denarau Clubhouse where the tournament score board will be sited.

Saturday 16th Round Four Starwood Golf Classic.

Groups will once again swap courses
Natadola Group
8.00am Coaches will depart for Natadola,
8.45am Arrive at the golf course where clubs will be set up on carts, range balls will be available for pre round warm up.
9.45am Shot Gun Start, Drinks and lunch will be available during the round.
2.30pm Finish golf
3.00pm Coaches will depart for Sheraton and the group will arrive at Denarau in time to meet with the players playing at Denarau and check out the scores to see who has won the event.
In the event of a tie in the overall professional section or teams gross & net competitions there will be a play off starting at 5.oopm at Denarau Golf Course.

Denarau Group
9.00am Check in at the Starters Bure, range balls will be available prior to play.
10.00pm Shot Gun Start, Drinks and lunch will be available during the round
3.00pm Finish golf,
In the event of a tie in the overall professional section or teams gross & net competitions there will be a play off starting at 5.oopm at Denarau Golf Course.

7.30pm Final Night Prize Presentation Gala Dinner and entertainment on the Beach

Sunday 17th
Depart Denarau transfers available to Nadi Airport.
