You don’t have to be a professional or a low handicap golfer to play in this event, the tournament is open to men and women who have an official handicap. So if you enjoy playing golf, staying at an award winning international resort, meeting great people and having a really good time, don’t miss this event!
UNIQUE EVENT
This event has become famous not only for the great pro-am golf tournament but also for the off course entertainment enjoyed by the competitors, non players, wives and partners.
The highlight for many of those who have attended is the grand finale “secret venue” themed costume banquet dinner. The 2009 theme was Cave men and women in 2008 Arch Bishops and Naughty Nuns, 2007 Caesar & Cleopatra , before that Bedrock, many will remember “Rumble in the Jungle” others have included Bare Foot Black Tie and Jail House Rock. What will 2010 be??? (We supply the costumes and you get to take them home)
FANTASTIC HOTELS
This year the host hotel is the Sheraton Fiji Resort which has recently reopened after a $40 million dollar upgrade’ “ITS FANTASTIC”.
You may prefer a one bedroom Villa suite next door at Sheraton Denarau Villa’s, or a beach front room at the Westin Resort & Spa.
We have exceptional rates at all three Resorts for those taking part in the 2010 Pro-Am.
GREAT RESORT GOLF
Denarau Golf Course is a great resort course and highly rated by professional and amateur golfers. The layout always poses a good test of skills, with water coming into play on many holes. The Sheraton and Westin Resorts on Denarau Island have a huge range of activities for partners and non-players to choose from, or you may just prefer to lie on the beach or by the pool and enjoy some exotic cocktails.
EXCITING TOURNAMENT
For those attending the Pro- Am for the first time, this event has it all. To start proceedings there is the Sheraton welcome cocktail party under the stars, where players and non players will be presented with a tournament gift pack. The next morning if you wish to sharpen up your game there is golf clinic and demonstration conducted by leading golf professionals. Then it’s the “Sulu Shoot Out”, a fun tournament to look over the course before the amateurs are joined by the golf professionals from USA, Australia, Pacific Islands and New Zealand for the two day Pro-Am. This is a fun pro-am event but you could be playing with someone like Mark Brown or Mike Hendry who have both won this event twice. The South Pacific Tour has been a breeding ground for great players. Fiji’s own V J Singh along with many other famous golfers including Greg Norman started their careers playing in Fiji.

Shangri-La Fijian Hotel Pro Am - 8 – 10 June
The fabulous Shangri-La Fijian Resort Hotel is 45 minutes drive from Nadi.
The Resort is set on the 105 acre Yanuca Island and is considered by many as Fiji’s most complete resort, with great white sandy beach, all rooms have ocean views, six bars and restaurants and all sporting facilities. The fantastic nine hole golf course has been the venue for many pro-am events.
